- Returns:
All sales are final, unless there is a significant deviation in measurements or there are significant defects not mentioned or visible in pictures. Please allow for very small differences in measurements as our equipment may vary, and sometimes uneven pieces may be difficult to get a perfect measurement. I always strive to undershoot a measurement so you will never get a smaller piece than you pay for, only larger. If you are curious about a specific piece, please message me on instagram, and I can take a video, or give you more closeups!
- Can I cut blocks smaller/ or into scales?
With the equipment I have, blocks are much easier to cut cleanly and evenly compared to scales, which is why I plan to cut many more blocks compared to scales. However, if you would like me to cut your block into scales or a different size, please message me on instagram. Please note however I cannot guarantee complete evenness and accuracy, and you do this at your own risk(of course I will do my best). I assume most of my buyers will have access to a bandsaw and they can cut their own scales, but if this is not the case, I will do my best to help out!
- Do I want my wood stabilized?
Some softer woods need stabilization, a great example is buckeye burl. Stabilization injects resin into the wood cells, making the wood more dense (usually) and more water resistant. Some woods like Tasmanian blackwood do not necessarily "need" stabilization, however like said above, it can make the wood a bit more durable, and can sometimes enhance a woods luster when polished. Some super dense and or oily woods cannot be stabilized, like desert ironwood. If a wood needs stabilization, I will have it stabilized, and mentioned. For now, all stabilized pieces are done professionally outside of house.
- Can I get "X" wood?
I will do my best to list whatever wood I have available and ready to go on my site or instagram. For now, I plan to stick to a select few species, however if there is something you are searching for, feel free to message me on instagram and I can see if I can help out!
